A Plea for Calm

Calming Chamomile

This piece really touches my heart. To create it I used something I found that was discarded and was deeply personal to someone else. I have no idea who they are, but their words are the basis of this piece. I'll go into more detail in a "Behind the Canvas" post on Patreon. When I was walking in my neighborhood a few weeks ago, I found a piece of a flier from the No Kings rally. I love that this piece stuck around for a couple of months waiting to be found and that I was called to add "NO KIN" to make it complete.

Well Bye Bye for this Time

I have a most generous friend that has been giving me beautiful paper ephemera that comes from many years ago. I find myself thinking of both the recipient of the piece of the card I incorporated into my art, and the sender that chose to sign off with, "Well Bye Bye for this time."
