This is the fourth of a series of commissions I've done for an amazing client. I look at those cherries and I'm reminded of how much better we all can be when we're together. Looking forward to a summer filled with togetherness.

This is the second in a series of food related commissions I'm working on. This was commissioned by the same person as the last one as a gift for his dear friend (who happens to love dolmas). I'm pretty fond of dolmas, too!
P.S. The veins in the grape leaves are gold and they sparkle.

This piece was commissioned by the owner of a chocolate covered strawberries company.
I'm super honored that it will be hanging in their store.

My Process: I crumpled the paper, as often happens to our hearts, and slowly added layer after layer finding new pathways. While it will never be restored as before, uncrumpled, it has found its way to beauty and a new life.
I've been working on a commissioned piece and my pieces always have companion pieces that I work on during drying time. This one is particularly connected to the commissioned piece. I'll share it at some point soon.
